I got picked up by a guy called Denver at 10 am. He drove to my new host family, called Benjamin. Tasneem who is the host mum showed me around in the house and showed me my room and so. I'm gonna share a room with a girl from Holland and there is a room next to ours which a Danish and another girl from Holland is staying at. We have our own bathroom and kitchen - very nice! Tasneem is cooking for us Monday-Thursday and then we have to cook for ourselves Friday-Sunday.
The girls weren't at home, but at work so I met them later that afternoon. They were very nice and very friendly. We talked a lot about where we were from and what we did at home and so on. Mille the Danish girl is from Odense. She is 20 like me. Lea is 18 and turning 19 soon and Evelien is 22 years old.

I had my introduction today! So excited! I guy called Keith came and picked me up at 9 am. We took the minibus to a Retreet station. There we met another guy working for Project Abroad - he was showing another volunteer called Christian from Holland around. We all went to Newlands where Project Abroad has their main office. There Christian and I talked to a lot of the people and got introduced to our projects, how we are going to go to and from work, how we should travel by train and stuff like that. I found out that I am going to work in an area called Vryground. Really close to where Jo' lives! J I'm gonna work at the same daycare as Mille the Danish girl. The place is called Masikule Home Creche. There are around 60 kids, from 18 months to 6 years old. Mille is working with the 5-6 years old and I am going to work with the 4-5 years old.

Today I went to Table Mountain with the girls I live with, 2 other girls from Holland and a guy from France. I wasn't going to climb it because my knee still wasn't good, but I planned to take the cable car up the mountain, and meet the others there. I know I am so sporty! When we got there we found out that it was too windy to have the cable car open! I let the others begin their walk - because it would take around 3 hours and the cable car only takes 10 min. And I really hoped that it would open during the morning! And fortunately it did open! But first at twelve o'clock - and the others left a quarter past 9 so they were already on top J but I got there and it was so beautiful!
After that we went to Waterfront and walked around - relaxed after the long walk the others had. They were really tired!

Today the others went on a bus trip with many others from Project Abroad, they already booked it before I came, and unfortunately there weren't any more tickets for me to join. So I went instead with Jo and her family to Jo's grandmother's birthday. It was really nice, and I was happy to see her whole family again J I already miss living with them! hehe
