I didn't have to be at my tour boat till 12/1pm so I didnt have to rush to get up in the morning. I went for a free breakkie at the hostel then got my luggage together and made my way out of the old town to catch a bus to Gruz harbour. I was disapointed that I didn't get to walk the city walls as someone recommended to do it but I just didn't have the time,I'll have to put that one down to do next time.
I jumped on the bus and got talking to a girl called Katie who I found out would be on my tour. It's always handy having someone to get lost finding a place with, but we managed to find the tour guide without to many problems.
We made our way to the boat which was no joke a pirate ship and waited while everyone else on the tour turned up. Once we got through the paper work we got assigned our rooms and they were definitely not as nice as the Greece boat. Id payed for a twin share but instead was put in a room with three other girls, and when I say room I'm over exaggerating as it was more like a closet,we could barely fit our suitcases in the room. I planned on spending as little time in the room as possible.
We set sail and left Dubrovnik behind to sail into Slano. While we were sailing we got served lunch and watched the beautiful scenery go past outside.
We finally arrived at Slano and anchored just off the shore for a swim stop. We jumped off the boat and into the clear water,it was amazing the water was so nice and still and the area was so pretty around us.
After we swum and lay in the sun we docked next to the other travel talk boat doing split to split, our tour guide took us for a brief walk in the town. She told us Slano was a small fishing village badly hit by the war and had a population of 500 people,so it was a very small place. We had our first group dinner then headed back to the boat to watch the other boat have their trash bag party, most of us were too tired to join in. At one point on the beach people where letting lanterns with candles in the float up into the air,for a wedding maybe it was so pretty seeing all these lanterns floating really high in the sky.
It was too hot to sleep under the deck so a few of us dragged our mattresses on the top deck and slept under the stars,it was a nice night to sleep out and definitely less stuffy then under the deck.
Over and out xx
