Fab weather today, certainly caught some rays today! Im a little pink and tims alot red.
Its been a well needed relaxing day before the next jaunt on the road.
We packed our beach bags and headded up the road to the actual bay, 9am and the beach was very full (wouldnt see that in England) , lovely clean beach with almost white sand. The sand makes funny noise when you walk on in it here, not quite sure why but it does.
The sea is crisp clear and you can walk out quite far before it becomes to deep to touch the bottom. It even has fish in that come so see you, or scare the cr*p out of you if your names Suzie.
After a morning of sand, sea, sand, sea, sand we found a few little food shops, one of which selling jaqcket potatos. ~now why am i telling you about jacket potatos. Well i never had one with ham, cheese, pinapple, sour cream and chives on it before. it was like a pizza on potato instead of bread and also very yummy. I think tim had thai curry, root veg and bean sprouts, that was nice too. Will use these ingredients again, nom nom.!
Back to the beach for a little longer, a man was making a posh proffesional castle in the sand and it was pretty good.
Sunwas getting a it warm so we went to the Beach hotel bar for a few cocktails and decided to come back here again later after a shower.
When we got back to the Hotel we saw there was a DJ on, oh yes a little bit of entertainment. Me or Tim could of done better, he was shockingly bad.
I found out that there was a lunar Eclipse from the FB world so we went to see it at the beach along with half the town. Lots of hippies banging drums and playing a noise (not a chooon or melody, just noise) others were chanting and howling at the moon, if nothing more it was comical to see. The man on the beach with his castle had lit it up with Firelighters and candles to be a bit special and was collecting monies for his hard work. suddenly todays thoughts on why did he do it became clear.
Off to bed for and early rise and many more miles to get under our belt tomoz. Off to Port Macquire next.
(will get photos up soon, the internet is a bit slow here and wont let us do them, booooooooo)
