We went out on Mike's dad's boat for the day, a few wines and fruit later we were at the mouth of the sea. We bobbed about on the river for a while before headin back. The boat was built in 1973, i think, and it was a fab boat in amazing condition. Photos to follow on this one form Mikes mum.

On route to the Blue mountains we stopped just out side for some pies for dinner and took a walk around the little town. The chocolate shop smelt so yummy i could have bought it all but i was good and didnt buy any.

The mountains them selves were beautiful, very picturesque. WE saw the 3 sisters and then i went down on the train and back up on the cable cars with Rosanne. Tim wasnt well all day so he didnt take part, he sat up on the shade and we waited for us girlies.

Still cant get over how green things are here and the amount of trees that are about.

31.12.10

Had a lay in today and didnt do alot, did a little bit of sunbathing in the garden before heading in to the city with nic and pip for new years eve.

We went to a house party with the perfect view of the sydney harbour bridge and opera house to see the fireworks.

Nic had to take the alcohol the day before because they shut the roads around the city and make all the streets a no alcohol zone.

We partied all night and enjoyed the fireworks but at midnight something didnt feel quite right. i decided that because i didnt hear big ben that it wasnt really new year.

We had to walk most of the way home because there were no taxis running and the volume of traffic trying to get out of the area was stupid. we were walking quicker than them driving.

macdonalds at home claim to be 24 hours but shut early on a sunday extra so to find one open at 145 am on new years eve was like heaven and it also sobered mr Tim up a little to make it a little eaier to walk home.

nearly 3 hours later we all fell in to frank and sandras house and went to bed very tired and having sore feet and legs.

01.01.11

I got up fairly early because it was so hot and i couldnt sleep but also so i could see the uk fireworks on the tv, and there it was........ ding dong from big ben and it was officially new year.

Had a lovely chat with family members just before the bells of midnight so things were all seeming like they were falling into place again.

Me and tim went off to Bondi beach for the afternoon, we arrived about 330, at food at a place called moo's. Tim had a Moo burger, mmmmmm im thinking at home it would be called a fat cow burger, so simular in name (picture uploaded) I had a much much smaller chicken burger!

After muching we lay on the beach for an hour or so before taking a costal walk round to some other beaches.

Feeling very tired and weiry we headed back to the house for a bath and family gathering to watch a film.

02.01.11

Went for a mornign swin with nic and pip at the beach today, we were only out for 2-3 hours, pip got so burnt and even im a little rosie around the edges. Afterwards we had a picnic with a few of pips friends under the harbour bridge with plans to go swimming again. However the wind got up and the heavens open so we came backto the house to recover.

Off to Canberra tomoz with Rosanne and Mike for a few days. We also booked tickets to go see a show called soap at the opera house for our last night (excited abouit that one!)
