Today is our first camping trip of the 2011 season!!! We are so thrilled that this time of year is here.
Greenbrier State Park is located in the Appalachian Mountains just a few miles from Hagerstown Maryland off from Route 40. Not far from home, but this is a new experience for us. We have never camped here before and wanted to give it a try.
The weather is cold and raining, but we are not going to let that stop us from having our first weekend out.
We reserved site 40 on Cedar loop because it is a pet friendly electric site. The park is well maintained. Cedar loop is a bit tight going up and down the hillsides that wind though the loop getting to our site, but no problem at all.
Ginger and Faith are excited to be back camping again. They wanted out of the truck cause they know we were staying in the Sunny tonight!
After getting backed in and set up it was time to rearage everything inside and out. Since the Sunline has been parked all winter, I forgot to bring a few items that I took out over the winter. So we headed into Hagerstown. Before going to the food market we got dinner at a local set down Chineese place that had excellent soup and peaking duck!!! Then it was off to the Martins Food Store to get a few things.
It was still pouring down the rain when we got back, so we just watched some movies before bedtime. The forecast is calling for heavy rain all night. Thats a good and bad thing when camping. I love hearing the rain on the rooftop.
