Hannah and Liv's Travel Update
This morning we set off towards the beach as a group around 9am where we had hired a speedboat to take us island hopping for the day. It was a deluxe speedboat, fully equipped with snorkels and free beer and food! It had a cream leather interior so we felt rather glamorous in it as we sped towards the gorgous islands. The first place we stopped at was Hong island and was exactly as the photo looks on our front page! (in fact we think that is the beach in the photo) Huge swarms of tropical fish swam all around our feet including some bigger rainbow fish, and the water was just incredibly clear and the sand a brilliant white! It was a pure paradise and the weather absolutely baking. Behind the beach was a little shaded area where 2 enormous lizards (water monitors) were roaming around- they had huge tails and long tongues, and we were told to keep our distance as they had poisonous saliva! We spent about 2 hours relaxing on the beach and snorkelling, then went back to the boat to hop to the next island. This one was even more remote, and the sand stretched out into the sea. We had a lovely seafood and rice lunch, then spent another 3 hours relaxing here in the midday sun. Our last stop was a rocky island, where we just dropped anchor in the middle of the sea and snorkelled. It was a lot deeper so difficult to see anything but we did get bitten/stung by some pesky sea lice! Back in the boat we whizzed home at an incredible speed, bumping out of our seats, and arrived back about 4.30 completely sunkissed! We then met everyone about 7pm to go to a barbecue at one of the bars in town. As it was our last night on the tour, we had another big night, dancing to the early hours of the morning again!
