Today we were up early to catch our transfer by coach all the way across the country to Surat Thani. It was a long 4 hour journey and annoyingly was raining when we arrived, gutted!! We then transferred onto a ferry along with hundreds of other people, and after a very choppy, rainy and long journey we finally arrived on Koh Pha-ngan at about 8.30pm. Luckily our transfer had waited as we were due to arrive at 6, and she took us to a lovely little bungalow just a few minutes away. It had it's own hammock on the front balcony, something we've wanted since arriving in thailand, and a nice bathroom, which is unusual in such a touristy area! We had a lovely home-cooked meal as it is a small family-run place then headed off for an early night in preparation for days of partying, falling asleep annoyingly to the sound of rain beating on the roof, not really what we had imagined but the beach still looks lovely so hopefully it will clear up soon!!
