Bought a 48 hour ticket for $50. There are various busses and one needs to be careful which one you choose but 2 of them seem to have more busses than others. Mornings are relatively chilly here. It is even worse sitting on an open top bus where there is extra wind chill factor when the bus is moving. SF has a cold breeze blowing most of the time anyway which just grows exponentially on the top of the bus. By lunchtime, I had enough. Went back to the hotel and put on a fleece top under the jacket and I bought a beanie. Problem is that you feel very warm when not on the bus, but it does get really cold after sunset close to 8pm.
Got my first close sight of the Golden Gate Bridge. I think the SF By bridge looks longer and more impressive but that is just my opinion. I walked the length of the bridge and took lots of pics from it. It is just over 1km long I think.
At night, I did the night tour and I was so glad that I bought the beanie but it was still freezing and by the end of the 2 hours, more than half the people had moved downstairs of the bus where it was warmer. Awesome views from treasure island of SF.
