The 3 week plan...
Tues 18:05
After yesterday's near misses I finalised my travel arrangements for the remainder of my time in India. I heard a few horror stories from people in the hotel last night so feel a bit more re-assured now. Arrangements took the whole day which was a little annoying, but I have time at the end this leg of the trip to see Delhi properly.
So tomorrow I have an early train to Sawai Madaphur, near to Ranthambore National Park, where I can go tiger spotting. 2 days there before I travel to the Pink city of Jaipur. After a few days (all my rail tickets are transferrable) I head to Agra and the Taj Mahal. After that it's over to Jodphur and Jaisalmer, into the desert climate. Returning via Delhi I head north in the last week to visit the golden palace in Amritsar, before a final 'relaxing' few days in Delhi.
Yesterday, on reflection, really knocked the steam out of me. I feel better now that I have things booked and a plan of action. Walking thro the streets isn't so intimidating now I know what to expect and at the moment I have the attitude of, if it's not going to run me over, ignore it. Looking forward to getting away from here and more importantly seeing some Tigers! In the wild!
Who knows what access might be like the next few days but watch this space for the first photo's...
