Bo Phut was a bit dead so after our original hotel booking finished we moved to Chaweng in the south of the island as it was a bit more lively! We booked into our new hotel in the morning and thought this is a nice part of town but then when darkness fell it turned out we were in the red light district........jackpot! After checking in we hired a moped through the hotel. 'Do you want to see a driving license?' 'No, it's fine! Here are some helmets we prefer you wear them but you don't have too. Bye' Got to love the Thai's health and safety! We hoped on the bike and tore off up the coast road! We stopped at a few places on the way then ended up in a town in the NW of the island(basically the furthest possible place on the island from were we are staying). At this point it starts to rain! I say rain but that's a massive understatement cause it feels like the big man in the sky is taking huge leak right on our heads! We are about 50 km's from home and are completely drenched so decide to make a break for it! How we made it home in one piece is beyond me. At one point as we were going down a massive hill Anna pipes up from her perch behind me to ask how I could see to which I answered fine but really I had my eyes closed as was just hoping for the best!
