Just to let you all know that Claire is in bed with stomach cramps. It's the middle of the day and I have just popped out to check on emails etc.. We still haven't found anywhere with quick internet connection, so photos will have to wait a little longer! Thanks for all the messages so far, they have been great to read. Will post some more postcards soon for you all to read. Bye for now!

Hi Guys
Well, a week has passed & I have quite forgotten who you are...are you those two short people from the other side of the bridge, one who snores & says "Yeeeeaaaaahhhh" a lot & one who is a world class sychronised swimmer? If so, I apologise for the delay in my first communique, it has taken me this long to work out how it all works, because as you know, I am about as technical as a wheelbarrow. I have read your postcards, fascinating stuff if a trifle surreal from the confines of my office at home. In the true tradition of a Brit, a bit about the weather. It is very poor here & we have had the first two frosts of the winter campaign. Give me Immodium & a ringpiece like the beginning on Bonanza anytime. To say it was difficult to wave you guys off last Tuesday simply would not do it justice, Cathy cried pretty much all the way home from the airport (what have you been doing to her Silky? or maybe it was the taxi incident Puffster?). The chaps are off on a pub crawl in good old Wooton Basset on Friday (far more exotic than anything you are likely to be doing) whilst the 'Dori' are enjoying a Virgin Vie party or whatever it is called, I didnt realise Branson had branched off in to ??? etc. So, we will raise a glass to you guys in both celebration & envy. Glad you have got off to such a good start, the culture shock must have been mindblowing. We will be thinking of you, especially when going to the toilet.
Loads of love my precious friends xxx
PS - The painted buildings in Jaipur must have reminded you of Broadhaven perhaps?
Claire And Steve
Well, its taken a week but we have finally started on the Immodium! We are not ill but our nether regions are definitely feeling the effects of all the spicy food! Sorry we haven't posted any pics yet but the internet connection over here is extremely slow so will take a long time - we will do it as soon as poss. Lovely to hear from you all. Sending lots of love and hugs to everyone xx

Hi both, can't believe a week has gone by already. It's been great to see the postcards and glad to hear everything is going well. Have you used all the Imodium yet, Steve? That was a sneaky bag of 'goodies' you left behind. Only found it at the weekend, but is all washed and ironed now! It reminded me of student days for a bit! William had a rugby tournament at Bath yesterday. Scored 4 Try's (or is it tries?) but team didn't win overall. Looking forward to some photos of Northern India. Love you both. Mum.XX

Hi steven and claire
nice to read your first report from inda ,i'd love to see your pics of temples ,and other stuff.
I think i have fixed your computer as it seems to me that the motherboard thinks that the cpu is overheating.
I bought a new heatsink and fan which is alot quiter than your old one (which sounds like a tank vibrating it's way through the house). Not much good all that noise when the kids are in bed. The pc crashes when the cpu is at 45c , so i put some thermal paste on die on the cpu and seems to do the trick.Left pc on for 11hours and it didn't crash , good hug seeing as you probably couldn't care aless right now. watching your wedding very entertaining and found hayden's 3rd birthday too will burn to dvd. Will get myself new hardrive soon .
must addmit i had a lump in my throwt when i thought of you flying away for two years last tuesday.Bit of a change from sunday when you saw me running at top speed with your computer under my arm out of mums house.
VERY proud of you and claire hope to hear from you soon .
