Hi Steve & Claire, Wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year. Here in my tiny island we celebrated Christmas and New Year in our own small way. While you were trekking the Himalayas I couldn't contain my curiosity as the progress you made in exploring the mighty mounatin. I visualised all your excellent adventures and at the same time thought of your family & friends who post their messages here. On your behalf I had sent Christmas and New Year Greetings to all as I thought they all will be missing you very much.

Hi Guys! A very Happy New Year to you! You've got some special times ahead of you I'm sure! Have only today come back to work and it's taken me the whole morning to look at all your lovely pics (The trekking looks fantastic!) and read all the messages, but have thoroughly enjoyed it!
We've come back from a great Christmas holiday at the coast. Extremely hot as always this time of year, and we made the most of the beach, sea, sun, etc. Cayla was very spoilt for her 1st birthday - 18th December, and for Xmas. It's such a delight seeing them enjoying themselves so much. David (Dad) and Evelyn are both well. They've done plenty of baby-sitting recently and love their little angel Cayla to bits.
Look after yourselves! All our love xxx.
Chris & Lisa - when u read this - have also been thinking of you - all our love xxx

Happy New Year! We are still in Hong Kong - planning to leave on Monday 9th to go into mainland China. We have been having such a good time here - it is about as far removed from life in India and Nepal as it can get. It is going to be hard to leave as we have got sucked into having home comforts once again from staying in a lovely flat belonging to friends of Emma and Dan's. We have finally got around to updating the Nepal part of our diary and will do the same for Hong Kong in the next few days. We hope you all had as good a new year celebration as we did...pictures to follow soon....and that you are all sticking to the resolutions you made, if you made any at all! We are off to have some Dim Sum now before hitting the market. Take care all and keep in touch xxxxxx

Hi Claire and Steve and a very happy NEW YEAR. The photos are great I especially liked the one outside the Taj Mahal doing the Princess Di impression, you looked as if you were enjoying yourself at this famous monument to love, I wasn't that impressed with the dog ones -- think rabies!! Have you bought any clothes in Hong Kong? Ceri, Lynsey and myself decided you probably haven't as shopping is not your speciality unlike us three we would have visited every shop in the city not including Steve's technical ones of course. The post Christmas diet is going to start on Monday, Lynsey has already begun her regime and seems to be going well , but I feel there is still to much sweeties/chocolate in the house to really begin in ernest. Well I will sign off now no real news from here but I keep waiting to here about the two new babes that are due. I hope the proud parents will post news soon . Love Mum xxxx

Glad to hear you had a Good Christmas. We are gearing up for our Hogmanay party tonight. Lots of stress, beer and food all in relatively equal measures. It did snow here yesterday but has disappeared already. Down South has had more snow than Scotland.
Less than 4 weeks to the new arrival as well.
Hope the New Year finds you both in good health. Take care and have a fantastic night/ day/ year.
Love Scott, Chris, Madi and soon to be new arrival.

HI both, had a quick look at the message board, looks as though all is well. Wishing you a very happy new year from sunny Cyprus and looking forward to speaking to you when we get back home. Mark says can you look at cameras for him in Hong Kong, he would like a price for a Sony T7 (credit card sized camera) its 250 pounds in UK plus the largest memory card to fit. Send us a note if you get a chance to look, it might be abit cheaper over there. Take care my children, will contact you on return to UK. Happy New Year to all family looking at the site plus anyone else who knows us. Love Mum B Mark and William. XXXXXX

Hi, Steven and Claire looks like you are having a wonderful time just seen your pictures of the last couple of weeks, the trekking looks great. Hope you had a merry christmas and have a good new year in hong kong. I've entered the london marathon back in november and have just received confirmation that i am IN on April 23rd it is good news seeing as i only had a 1 IN 4 chance. I am busy training and have completed half marathon distance in training so far. Hayden and Oakley are well and Hayden has really enjoyed Christmas this year. He got the complete tracy island set + thunderbirds he was very pleased, Oakley on the other hand couldn't careless. Talked to grandma on the phone the other day, she didn't know you were traveling around the world? still grandma sent Hayden + Oakley a £20 cheque and so did dianne (£20 cheque), which was very genorious. Can't think of much else to say except have a good new year and keep sending the great pictures (make sure people are in SOME of the landscape shots ). from chris

Hiya! We have made it back from our trekking trip...it was amazing and Nepal is a beautiful place - definitely somewhere we would come back to probably to do the Everest basecamp trek....anyone interested?!!! Thanks for all the Happy Christmas messages - its good to hear that you are all still enjoying yourselves without us there! We managed to have a pretty good Christmas day - apart from travelling on a bus for 7 hours yesterday - we found a place that did Christmas dinner (turkey, cranberry sauce and stuffing) as well as Xmas cake, party hats and a present for everyone. It was a good evening, lots of other tourists celebrating too and Kathmandu entered into the spirit by putting up Christmas trees and decorating the streets, shops and restaurants for us homesick travellers! Unfortunately our mountain flight over Everest was cancelled this morning as you could just about see your hand in front of your face for the fog. We have rescheduled it for tomorrow so its going to be a very early start and a very long day as we also leave for Hong Kong tomorrow afternoon. Excited about New Year though and spending it with Emma and Dan will be fun. Take care people and we will be in touch soon xxxxxx
