hello both. don't seem to have much news this week its been quite quiet on the home front. josef starts speech therapy at the end of this month which will be a great help, although he is trying out more and more words every day some clearer than others. hopefully when we see the ent dr next month i'll be able to get him in for grommets quickly. andrew and i are going well this week on our healthy eating, andrew lost 4lbs and i lost 5lbs. i might struggle this week as i've got a stinky cold and just want comfort food, but i'm going to try my best. steve you'd be proud of us we're starting a small money making scheme, we're now selling avon, got an order for over a hundred pounds in under 1 week. we'll be millionaires before we know it. looking foward to getting some post cards from china soon, if you can get around, sounds quite hectic there. all our love ceri andrew ffion and josef

Hi everyone,
We are in mainland China now, more specifically Shanghai. We have been here a few days now and seen a bit of the city - the weather is pretty bad though so a lot of the good sights aren't worth seeing because of the thick fog. We are coping reasonably well with language barrier - armed with our Mandarin phrasebook we can tackle just about anything! Trying to be adventurous with trying new food although reading through the menu at local restaurants does little to encourage an appetite....we are building ourselves up to trying some street food just as soon as we find out exactly what it is. We are definitely avoiding the chicken feet, sea blubber and pigeon! China is gearing up for welcoming in the new year and the streets are swarming with people trying to get home for family reunions but as they don't have tickets most of them are sleeping rough waiting to see if one will come available. Our plans to travel around China at this manic time seem ridiculous but we are going to do our best to get where we want to go! We will update the sight when we have a bit more to say...internet cafes are not that easy to come by surprisingly.
Ffion - it sounds like you are a very busy girl...watch out Hollywood!
Paul - that is a truly terrible joke but somehow apt for where we are right now!
Lynne - why not try moving to the Portage corner - less money but more job satisfaction! Anyone other than Z list celebrities in Big Brother this year?
Take care all and keep in touch xxxxx

Hi Steve & Claire,
Reading the message board is exciting. And from the postcards I could guess the real adventure you are currently enjoying. Hope Steve's knee is alright now and getting stronger for better adventures still await you both. I am collecting more information about the countries you are visiting and the photographs posted are lovely. Recently we conducted a wonderful school day and Science & Maths Exhibition in our school. All my family joins me to wish you the very best and also our love to all those who read the message board!!

Joke from Paul. Bloke rings his doctor complaining he thinks he's got Bird Flu. "What are the symptoms", the Doc asks. Bloke says, " I keep talking complete s*** and I can't park the car properly"
Keep having a nice time.
Lynne says:- Celebrity Big Brother has just started and my job is really boring !! xxx

Hello all. We are leaving Hong Kong today and getting the sleeper train to Shanghai. From there we have not worked out a route so will play it by ear. Its quite a weird feeling setting off on the road again after being settled in Hong Kong for a fortnight and enjoying the luxuries that go with it - oh well, further adventures await but we will definitely come back here and bring some spare bags to fill with shopping. I'm pretty sure all the women reading this would love a trip to Shenzen (over the border in China). It was a massive mall of 5 or 6 floors filled with dirt cheap knock off goods....handbags, purses, shoes, DVD's, clothes, electrical goods of any label under the sun. As long as you can haggle with a smile you can come home laden with goods! We have put our latest photos and diary entries onto the site and will keep you all posted with tales from China. Hope you are all well - hello to both our families, we love you all lots (Ffion and Josef....have you been playing with the computer?!!!!). Keep in touch xxxxx
hope you have a good holiday and I had a brand new bike for krismus.

happy new year to you both. we're all settled back into work and school, ffion and josef were really excited to go back to school and see their friends after the christmas break. ffion has had lots of work to do and she's starting to get spelling tests now,she had full marks for her first one. she's also lost another tooth (with a little help from joe) she's got 4 missing at the moment and the gaps are huge with no signs of the new teeth coming down. josef has been very keen to visit you both and asked this week if he could go over your house. dad took them to the park by your old house today after going to funsters and joe tried to take him around to the house he led him all the way there and knew which one it was without any prompting. it's been very cold here and we're all hoping for snow tonight. andrew and i have started to develop a better social live and have been out with friends minus children twice in as many weeks with plans for a third night out in the next fortnight. jon and lucy came down between christmas and new year, only 6 weeks to go before baby phillips arrives. you wouldn't believe the size on lucy she's huge, tor got very broody. loved all the photos the childrens scrap book of your adventures is coming on well and they are enjoying learning all about the countries you have visited. they thought momos was a very funny name for your dinner. all our love ceri andrew ffion and josef xxxx
