What a mess. Where do i start. Arrived in Capetown only to be hit in the head by the door of our Dragoman truck. Wind was blowing hard and nobody had secured the door. I suffered a mild concussion, lost my hat in the windy breeze, got covered in food from the bin and my Oakley sunglasses were wrecked. To make matters worse about 30 minutes earlier i had bit into some food and my tooth split all the way to the gum. I managed to get to an emergency dentist in Capetown and have it patched (for an exhorbitant fee)and eventually got up Table Mountain for a quick sight seeing trip. However my travails didn’t end there. I was sitting in the airport lounge waiting for the plan to J’Berg and my temporary patch fell out along with most of my tooth! I arrived in Hong Kong only to find my backpack had been rifled. I lost credit cards, US dollars and my camera. Hong Kong went in a blur with my main sightseeing trip being the Great Buddha statue ruined by low cloud and my main memory of being ripped off in a Hong Kong camera shop as i tried to replace my camera. I was glad to be leaving for China in the morning.
