Hello, hello!!! We are in paradise, finally leaving the crazy commercialism of Kuta. We travelled to the island of Lombok and are chilling on the Gilli Islands. No cars on the island, just horse carts and bikes. We are staying in a cheap homestay where the beautiful view from the room is the garbage and chickens of the people living there. Ahhh, paradise!!! I will put the picture up. We travelled here the cheapest way and that meant a day and a half of travelling and we were on a 5 hour ferry ride, no A/C, the ONLY white people on the boat. But, that is what makes us hearty travellers!!!

On the short boat ride over to the Island, I saw a sea turtle!!!! First time EVER!! As I told Steve, I am going to 'blog about this'. Seems anything that happens I am going to 'blog the hell out of this'!! Really no crazy adventures to tell you all yet, just too f-ing hot to want to do ANYTHING. And no, I am not complaining so no one put that we are whining about the heat!!! Just makes us exhausted and tired ( I don't think I have been up later than 10pm once this trip). I had 2 super-stiff drinks yesterday afternoon (Steve said it was antifreeze!) and was hungover by suppertime. Lame-o!!!!

We attempted surfing and attempt is the only word. We both headed out from the beach at Kuta and did Ok but tired. Tried for an hour in Seminyak and got THRASHED!!! Steve couldn't get out past the break, I did but DIED! It was awesome, though. Probably 8 foot waves so I held my own.

No real plan, still. Going to chill on the islands for about a week then to Ubud. Kind of expensive to always be travelling around. The most planning we have really done is decided where to eat. FYI, we are eating at an Indian food place tonight!! Yay us for planning ahead!!! Going to go explore the island tomorrow, bike around and snorkel where possible. Steve broke the strap off his snorkel mask so we have to share.
