Sorry I just wanted to post that as a seperate blog so it didn´t get lost!
So yes, we did our 3 day tour of the salt flats, we went to see a train wreck and then we went to the salt flats it was amazing, just whiteness everywhere. We went to the original slat hotel wherew everything is made of salt, the walls the seats the tables, everything! Then we went to fish island, a random island in the middle of the flat salt which is covered in cactii, it was so weird. Then we took loads of perspective pictures, of us standing on each other and walking into pringles cans etc. It was hard to get the right angle, but eventually we managed to figure it out and got some classic picutres. We went to our own salt hotel wherre we stayed the night - it was freeeezing cold at night!! Before dinner we went to see some caves and then an amazing sunset over the flats, it was beautiful, so many colours it was fantastic.
The next day we left the salt flats and set out into the dsesrt, went and saw all the coral stones, then we wenbt and saw all the lagoons - which were amazing, they were all different colours and had loads of flamigos and things on them, we saw the stone tree which was a random rock in the middle of nowhere shaped like a tree. We also saw a smokinhg volcano.
The 3rd day we saw some gyzers and went to some amazing natural hot springs and then drove back to uyuni.
Now we´ve crossed the boarder into argentina and are in salta. we rented a car yesterday and went to wine country and got a tour round a winery and tried some wine ice cream.
This afternoon we get the bus to Iguazu falls!!! Exciting!!! Nice argentina bus - whisky and wine!! But it comes at a price.... I miss cheap bolivian buses!!
Random other news, paul got his day rucksack stolen along with his waterproof jacket....very annoying.... and Kat has got her cast off and still cant walk so is still on crutches. Oh and my phone now has signal. So you can text me if you wish :-)
Lots of love steph xxx
