...was one of the last and funniest things I had heard all day yesterday - Chris and I were sleeping in the living area, me on the sofa and Chris on the window seat, and I was just comfortable in my sleeping bag when I heard Chris say this. To be fair the Moon was very bright and we had no blinds, but it still made me laugh like hell and I couldn't stop laughing at it. Definitely another new saying for the rest of the trip me thinks!...
Still laughing about it in the morning I got up around the same time as Jacqueline and had a conversation about breakfast and what the day would bring - Bacon and Avacado sandwiches (score!) and a trip down to the beach to dig Hot Water Pools. It was a bit of a lazy morning as we all settled into the batch, so after breakfast (YUM - thanks Jacs!) Chris and I decided to make our burgers ready for dinner, so that they could marinate and we wouldn't have so much to do later that night (most important) we made Beef with Orange Cranberries and Beef with Rosemary & Thyme *yum yum yum*.
We finished food prep and then it was time to head down to the beach to find the best spot to dig our Hot Water Pool (there are hot water currents under the beach and if you dig a hole around or over a current it's like sitting in a hot spa right on the beach) Digging sorted, everyone decided to run into the freezing cold sea water and then run like hell back to the pool....
I'm not stupid, I just got straight in the pool. Fools.
After a while it was getting hot, scolding in fact, so we dug a little cold water channel to try and regulate the temperature and then I realised that the sand was actually a really good exfoliator so had a little face scrub whilst I was there - worked like a treat!
After a time of messing around we all walked back to the road, and decided to go to a cafe for a drink and a cake (as you do) so I had a Banana Smoothie (actually tasted like real Banana and not a flavouring! - Shocker!) and a Chocolate and Coconut slice which was delicious, so much so that I saved a bit and took it back to the batch for later, just in case dinner didn't quite come off....
Back to the batch and we started to watch the rugby games whilst we all showered and we started dinner - it was yummy if I do say so myself and after we had all eaten we spent the night playing cards. Everybody loves Put & Take, I think even more so that I lose miserably every time and as its 'my game' (really it's my Nan's game - so thanks Nan!) it's a little bit funny, ok, a lot funny but I lose every single time!!!
Still there is always tomorrow...
