EF school gave me your email so I could contact you.

We are looking forward to having you to stay with us from Wednesday, April 8th.

You will be sharing a room with Tomomi from Japan when you arrive who has been staying with us all winter. Your other house mate from EF will be Luka from China who is arriving on the same day as you and will be staying in the next room.

EF school is a short bus ride, 12 minute bike ride, or 40 minute walk away. You can walk to Hermosa (15 minute) and Redondo Beaches (10 minute) and piers from our house. You can also walk to a mini mall, library, coffee shops, Fast food, grocery stores etc. The bus stops right outside our house. Someone will show you around when you arrive.

We are a family of three. We have been living in LA for over ten years. Our daughter Olli is 13. We also have a small dog called Jack.

Spring, summer, and autumn in Redondo Beach is warm and dry during the day and cool/cold at night. If you are wondering what to bring to wear I suggest a bathing suit/bikini shorts, tennis shoes, running shoes (if you like to work out) a few tank tops, and t shirts, a sweat shirt, PJ's, casual jacket, jeans and a nice dress and shoes to go out in. LA is excellent for shopping. Hint *Most people who stay with us buy clothes. They wish they had brought less clothes.

Tomomi (Japan) has been going to EF all Winter, and Lika (China) will arrive at the same time as you and will go to EF for a few months. Tomomi leaves in May.

Begona (from Spain) who is getting ready to leave is selling her beach cruiser bike (pretty light blue with basket and lock) for $95. Let me know if you are interested. She is also going to put a 'for sale' notice at EF. If this doesnt work out, you might see a notice at EF when you get here and buy a bike this way.

I am 39 and my husband is 44. He is a photographer. I do some graphic design.

Hermosa is the next beach city. Our home is in a great location quite near to the boarder of Hermosa. The area we are in is very safe, even at night. Most people feel safe to ride bikes, and walk around here even at night.
