Hey everybody!
Did you miss us? No?! Well, that's what we thought!
Today we spent most of our day in the car on the way to McKinney (north of Dallas).
So our day was pretty uneventful until we met Leah. Leah is the daughter of my cousin Eric and his wife Sarah. She is 3 ½ years old, and has personality plus! She is funny, energetic and full of words.
At first she was a little bit shy, but soon we became her new best friends. She gave us a tour around the house and along the way, showed us all of her toys.
After the tour we headed out for dinner, to Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse. On the way Leah got us all to play "I spy" and sang every song from "Twinkle, Twinkle" to "Row, row, row your boat". In the restaurant we had a traditional Texan BBQ.
After eating, Eric, Sarah & Leah took us on a tour through Downtown Dallas. We saw the 6th Floor Museum, the place where JFK was assassinated from. Then we drove pass the Dallas Mavericks Arena where the Circus was going on.
After our tour through Dallas we headed back to McKinney Square for Gelato. We enjoyed the nighttime temperature (because during the day it was 105 degrees!!) and of course our Gelato. As the sunset came and went, it became apparent through Leah's sleepy eyes that it was time to go home.
We spent the rest of the night doing laundry and finally found a place to sleep in Flagstaff, AZ near the Grand Canyon!!
We are coming to realize how lucky we are to have such great family and friends who are willing to take us in for a day or two. Again, thank you to those who have hosted us and will in the next few weeks.
Tomorrow we are off to Santa Fe, NM. Wish us luck.
Love & hugs!
Steph & Nenna

Hallo alle miteinander!
Habt ihr uns schon vermisst? Nein?!
Morgen gehts dann schon weiter nach Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Viele Bussis,
Nenna & Steph
