Stephen's Travels!
Hello All.
Last time i reported i was in Phuket.. It was great and we chilled out at the beach and also went for an early morning (7.30am) horse ride. It was good but for the first time i didn't feel safe on a horse. The sadle was to small and the stirups to short but it was still fun and I managed a canter.
After Phuket we headed for beautiful Ko PhiPhi. This is where the beach was filmed and you could see why. It was Lush! Our guest house was the s***test on the beach and the cheapest but still more expensive than anywhere else i have stayed. The water in our room was dirty and the place was full of ants, mozzies and cockroaches...Didn't fancy eating them this time!
We took a day trip to some Islands... "Monkey beach" so called because it is full of wild monkeys. It was beautiful and I was really pleased that I saw so many Monkeys there. At one point i got really close to one but it was turned away from me so i gave a little kiss noise to attract its attention...it certainly did that and it ran at me with great speed and swiped for me,at which point I ran and actually screamed whilst almost running in to a chinese family sat on the beach! My heart was beating so fast for at least 10 mins.We did some snorkelling and guess who I found... I found Nemo and his Dad. It was just like in the film. They were in the same correl and the Daddy was circling around the baby as if protecting it...It really was Nemo!
We then set sail for "The Beach" beach. It was so pretty and I did some more snorkelling and I actually went really really deep but then got scared about Sharks so headed back to the boat. I have never seen so many tropical fish...It was great.
From Ko PhiPhi Me and Elisa headed for Krabi, Ellen did not come as she plans to later on in the year so she stayed in Phuket. Krabi is one of my favourite places so far. I have really seen some great things. I hired a Scooter for 3 days and visited a national park that was a massive rainforrest with huge waterfalls and lots of tropical animals to see. We also went ot a Temple called "Tiger Cave" It was at the top of a massive hill and when i say massive i mean massive. I climbed 1237 steps up and then back down again...needless to say that my calfs were a little tight the next day.
Our final day with the scooter was Brill! we headed for a quiet village and found a deserted beach to spend the day on. We were the only people there and had the bay to ourselfs and our bike. The water could have been Evian in that sea!
Elisa has headed back to Bangkok today and then its home to Germany for her so that was a great last day for her to spend here in Krabi.
At the moment I am alone and it feels really odd after so long with company. Its only until tomorrow though...I am heading back to Phuket to meet up with Ellen again for our final week before i head down to Singapore to meet my Mum! I can't wait to see her and give her a long overdue Hug! I will report again after Singapore.
Hope all is well at home. Lots of love. S.x
