Im sitting here in Paris, munching on a pain au chocolat (yes a legit one and only 1 Euro) and reflecting back on the past 48 hours.
What a big 48 hours.......
3 flights, 2 stopovers, 3 trains, 2 busses, lots of aeroplane food and drip coffee and my first taste of french pastries!!
I arrived in Singapore, the flight to London was delayed by an hour - thank god for Qantas Club. Great opportunity to have a shower - yes a shower while waiting for your next flight and in your own room. Note the use of room and not cubicle! I know that some people hesitate to book Qantas for international flights - hesitate no longer as it was fantastic! The food was great, the ente
I zonked out between Singapore and London. Onwards from London to Paris. Quick duck into the toilets once I reclaimed my backpack to get changed - thanks for the heads up Prue!!
Its pouring with rain in Paris - I trudged up towards the hostel in Montmartre, backpack getting heavier - i just wanted to dump my bag and get warm. I took the opportunity while still standing on two legs to explore the streets of Montmartre in the early afternoon.... I saw my first electric car - hooked up on its own designated car park...like something out of another world.
Today I'm off to Versailles and a venture into the heart of Paris to test out a couple of the local markets. xox Steff
