We arrived at Ho Chi Minh at 7.30 am, after getting our baggage and clearing customs the first thing I saw was a Vietnamese person with the same name as me, written on his very large badge. Anyway we got chatting as you can probably imagine we have a lot in common, We got on so well that he even gave me a lift to our hotel.
We checked in and were taken to a room without any window's, straight away I noticed the look of disappointment on Sandras face. Never mind I said I'll find you something else to do, I then tried to make a cup of coffee, unfortunately the lead on the kettle was only three inches long.
I tried it on the bed, then the table and the floor, no way could I get the flex to reach any plug.
The only way was to hold the kettle till it boiled, alas it steamed my glasses up and l poured the water all over the table. I then turned the kettle upside down and noticed the flex curled round the bottom, I think Sandra came very close to peeing her self with laughter.
On our way to see the water puppets we strolled through the city and attempted to cross a road or two, quite nervy at first, but as long as you stick to the traditional English way of keeping your partner between you and the on coming mass of cycles one of you should survive. We watched or I should say I watched the the water puppets, Sandra decided to take a nap which she put down to jetlag, but personally I would put it down to the puppets. On our way back to the hotel we stopped off at a local restaurant, sat down in the mini chairs at the mini table, and enjoyed one of the best prawn dishes ever and all for less than a tenner.
