I'm laying on the left hand side of the bed waiting for the Captain to ring to tell me the plane's ready. On the right-hand side is Sandra who hasn't slept for 2 days, it's either her way of dealing with jetlag or she's nervous about Vietnam.
Perhaps I'll tell her the war's over before we get there, anyway it's 4am and l am walking up and down the stairs with my back pack on. Get off the carpet with your shoes on, brought my backpack training to a shuddering halt. Bet Cheryl Cole never had this problem before tackling Kilimanjaro.
We heard a horn sounding outside to which Sandra commented, that'll be your pilot is it. After the Captain put our cases in the boot, we engaged him in the usual small talk, what time did you start, and how long have you been on, took me ages to think those two up.
Allo Allo, after a short hop over the channel, we find ourselves in the country of the reversing tanks.
As you can see from the picture Sandra has taken the concept of the departure lounge quite literally.
After boarding the Boeing 777-300 ER, yes I know it's sad but Sandra has had me studying the seating arrangements for the last three weeks.
There are three different body types of this plane and each individual airline have their own seating design, depending on how many they want to cram in, and yes the French know how to cram.
Our flight to Ho Chi Minh City took eleven and half hours, we watched a couple of films, ate some food, shared a couple of drinks and chatted for a while, and before we knew it there was still ten hours left. Seriously we had a good flight with nice seats, and were well looked after by our French crew.

Amy Glad you got some valuable backpack training in before you left. Looks like mam has found a new couch already!
