Vietnam cont'd
We arrived in Saigon and got ripped off by a taxi bloke who took us round in a big circle and charged us about a tenner, but it was dark and we didn't know where we were! Nob! We checked in at the hotel and went out for snap and a few bevvies! Ended up meeting some Brits and playing cards in the spotted cow. Then a drunk Ozzie who we named Eddie Jordan due to his resounding resemblance decided he wanted to join us! Oh how we rinsed him, he was struggling to stand up never mind understand a game called spoons. We decided to play a kind of human buckeroo game, by placing different cutlery implements on his person (pockets etc). We got to about 8/9 and ran outbid cutlery, he was non the wiser! Not so steady eddie that night!
Thankfully the passports arrived safely on the night bus, back in safe(ish) hands. Had a day in Saigon visiting the reunification palace (boring) and the war remnants museum. The yanks were basically killing people left, right and centre for no apparent reason, as you do. After this, had a peek at the French colonial buildings and notre dame cathedral. Back into town for a massage (i got a big lass who basically beat the crap out of my back). This annoyed me slightly as I have now lost most of the tan I had through peeling!ha! A spot of tea before the charity shield match and another 12 hour bus to phnom penh in Cambodia.
