Cambodia -
Arriving into Phnom Penh about midday, we decided to check in hotel an head off to the killing fields. We hired a tuk tuk, driven by big Lew who took us round for the afternoon for just $20. He was very keen on us taking up his offer of shooting a cow with a rocket launcher, we considered this greatly, but thought that we could probably spend $450 a little more wisely! The killing fields were a pretty horrible place, very eerie and spooky, where the khyme rouge killed thousands of Cambodians. Most of the skulls and body remains have been kept in a huge monument. Anyone who had a family member who had been educated in anyway was detained in s21 prison and sent to the killing fields to be killed in a number of different ways! Babies were held by their legs and swung into a big tree! We hired a guide to take us round who tried to lighten the mood by telling us about his experiences with ladyboys, but it felt a bit awkward when we were laughing walking on so many dead people's remains!
