Got up & packed, then returned to last night's restaurant for breakfast - L&M had 3 hotcakes with maple syrup! Once fed, we returned to the hotel room to finish schoolwork & then walked to the central square to find a taxi. The driver asked for M$360, which was a little more than we had paid to get to Chapala, & half an hour later, we were in Guadalajara once again. The bus to Zacatecas (M$455 each) didn't leave until 2.30pm, so we had nearly 2 hours to kill. L read (& drank coffee!), J&M played nicely together, & D used the free wifi to update the blog.
Suddenly, J noticed that it was 20 past 2, but the clock right in front of us said that it was only 5 past! We rushed outside, found our bus, loaded our bags & boarded. The premier class bus was, once again, very comfortable, & we enjoyed the journey, even though the first two films were rubbish! The King's Speech was the third film, which both D&L were enjoying, until we arrived in Zacatecas, half way through the film! The sky was an amazing colour, as the sun set, just before we arrived - a beautiful "welcome back!"
We disembarked, & took a taxi (M$60) back to Sylvia's house, where we were warmly greeted, & offered 12th Night cake & coffee! Mark, Susana & Nicole were out, at a meeting with the priest, & didn't get back until after 9.30pm, by which time the kids were asleep in bed - annoyed at not being allowed to stay up late to see the baby! Luis & Sylvia (God parents to be) had also been at the church, & arrived with three bags of tamales for us all to share. After eating, chatting & drinking beer for a while, we turned in for the night.
