In the evening, we went to the THC bar for dinner and ended up getting all our orders mixed up because we couldn't tell whose order was whose, but it didn't matter because all the dishes were so nice anyway! On G&Ts since the start, our night progressed and the DJ began, DJ Pisshead her name was and what a legend she was. The atmosphere was incredible and the music was even better! DJ Pisshead and her friend Bo were teaching us Thai swear words but we forgot those pretty quickly.
More G&Ts and lots of dancing to dub/ reggae music, Isaac, Ben, Nic and me decided it was time to move on to the next bar. We stumbled on a place called Zoo bar which was really cool. The music wasn't as good as DJ Pisshead's but it was never going to happen. We bumped into Bo and we danced the night with her, she was also very cool. She told me that she was going to Van bar and that we should go ahead because she had to wait for her DJ friend. She said that every Thai knows Van Bar. Turns out nobody knew Van Bar and after lots of asking, one Thai group finally showed us the way!
Van bar was as what you'd expect, a bar in a van. It was pretty cool and we got a constant supply of free popcorn! We bought a Sangsom bottle of rum but were already very drunk at this point so shortly struggled to drink much more. Ben had us all talking like an African for whatever reason, which we all thought was hilarious. He kept thinking he'd lost his money belt and kept saying "Wah is ma monay belt?" We met two nice people, one from Devon living in Wiltshire and one girl from Newcastle who both happened to be travelling teachers, obviously at this point we stopped with the accents and appeared to be normal people for a while. After a pleasant chat with the travellers and feeling the defeat from the alcohol we retired to a Tuktuk to take us home. We hopped in and kept shouting "reo, reo!" and faster he went. We went round whizzing around corners and such. Back at the hotel Ben somehow lost his money belt and passport again and came into our room all panicked. But come morning he had found it drunkenly stashed in his rucksack.
