Today we went to Sentosa Island, I really wanted to go universal studios but it was over $70 each, so we went with the cheaper option. After waiting around for each other at Harbour front MRT and having to wait for Jessie's abnormal and Sam's standard lateness, we headed for the monorail, the cheapest form of transport to Sentosa.
The weather couldn't have been any better :). We chilled at the beach and ate nachos, watching some sick guy showing his surfing skills on a wave machine. Then I went for a swim a few times and practised swimming far. With Isaac tottling alongside, I managed to swim about 50m there and back. Pretty proud of myself, building confidence and practising to tread water for longer! Swimming isn't too bad when the water is calm :).
After some quality beach time, we went for races on the luges. Kind of like go karts without the engine, or steering wheel, so actually not really like a go kart. Pretty fun though, you pulled the handle back to break and pushed the handle forward to go fast. I didn't break round the bends and just zipped along. We all started at the same time and I spent most of it behind Jessie and Nic, until toward the end I zooped in took the lead for a sneaky win :D.
After that we had a little walk around and checked out the Merlion but didn't want to pay to go in. Sentosa has gotten even more expensive and each activity is pretty extortionate, so we just went for more beach time and I did some more swimming.
After Sentosa, we went for a meal with the fam in Bedok to a Thai place. Food was delicious and Shyde convinced Isaac to eat a fish eye. Meng Wee also tried to get the boys to go out on the town with him and rent Ferraris, but they all declined. What a mad man. He told me to tell dad to come on over and that they are brothers for life. Then we went back home for an early night for our flight to Bali tomorrow.
