Our plan for the day was simple: walk to the Larcomar to pick up more pisco bon bons and woold, have lunch, walk to Parque Kennedy to find the Siammese Cat, and visit the Artesan Market to find Jeremy the Quena.
Obviously this went only somewhat to plan.
After a lunch of grapes fro Larcomar, we head over to Parque Kennedy to play with the cats only to be interrupted by an elder man by the name of Javier who decided that he was going to play tour guide for us. He took us to a restaurant for pisco sours (that we bought), showed us a travel agent who gave us information on Galapagos tours (too expensive), before ordering us a taxi (we payed) and showing us Chorillos, and the Morro Solar plane where the Chileans attacked Peru. He then took us to an authentic Peruvian restuarant (Jeremy got his foodie fix), (we payed), before we cabbed back to Parque Kennedy (we payed) and claimed that Jeremy had a music lesson to get to so that we could finally leave. Javier was certainly an interesting man, super determined to show us parts of Lima that were unseen to the normal tourist.
We did manage to get Jeremy's Quena in the end, and the market lady was incredibly impressed with us for coming back.
