So today Alice, Kevin and myself set off to the Blyde River Canyon which is home to the Three Rondavels.
We first stopped off in Graskop at this plancake place called 'Harries Pancakes'. Alice has informed me that they are the best around and im looking forward to having pancakes for breakfast.
However i forgot not to take my Maleria tablets before i had eaten, and when my food arrives I have to run to the toilet to be sick, quite a lot :(
Its the most embarassing thing ever, and every time I think im done, more comes up, and I hadnt even eaten yet! By the time i get back to the table everyone has near enough finished their breakfast, and mine is just sat there. I make up an excuse that I feel that if I eat, im scared I may throw up, (not telling them I have already thrown up). There is no way i can eat anything and luckily everywhere gives you the option to take your food away! With my pancake wrapped up, we head off to the canyon.
The one weird thing about dirving out here is that the roads limits are like 120mph, compared to the 60 mph in England. Its actually quite scary driving at this speed, and if you go slow then people start beeping at you and driving right behind you to speed to up, some may just over takeyou, but you really dont want to piss anyone off out here on the roads.
We finally get to the canyon and the view is just breathtaking. Again there ar photos on my facebook, but I will put some up on here, if there is anyone that is reading this blog, and isnt on facebook. You can stand right on the edge which makes me feel sick, and i have figured that i am scared of heights. It is a very long way down, and some of he rocks are loose, which makes it even more dangerous. It is so quiet and peaceful, its just nice to sit there are take in the views.
As you go around the corner you get the other view with the water, which looked amamzing. Alice believes that mermaids live down there, which did make me laugh. The view is just amazing and looks like something out of a film. It is so hard for you to take your eyes away from it.
I will never forget the views that i got to say today, they are truely out of this world.
