Alice took me to the Kruger National Park which again was an amazing experience. We got up at 6.30am (early I know, I'm certainly feeling it now) and set off to the park. The Phabeni Gate, which we entered, is only around a 15 minute drive from the Rissington which was ideal. The Kruger National Park is so big they have hundreds of gates in which you can enter; they say that it is as big as Wales.
We could only do a small portion of the Park however we got to see much. We saw a Lion, Giraffes, Hippos, Impala, Elephants, Buffalo, Water Buck, Kudu, Tortoises, and a variety of Birds. The photos I got are amazing, they are on my facebook so make sure you all have a look!
We stopped off at the main camp - Skukuza - and got some lunch. Alice was rather excited that she was able to get a slush puppy! I still can't get my head around the prices of things around here. I went shopping yesterday and bought some shampoo, it is advertised as R65 which is have to remember is only like £5. I have had to put more money onto the Travelex card as we did have to ay to get into the park which was around £20 each.
The safari was amazing and I would reccommend it to anyone! There is so much you can see, but you have to make sure you get up early enough. It gets too hot during the day for some of the animals and therefore you normally wont see the 'Big 5'.
There is a lake that you can visit in the park called Lake Panic, this is where i seen all the hippos and it was amazing! There was a little baby hippo, and I got some nice photos of the Lake, you arnt allowed to talk while on the patoon, which enabled more wildlife to be there, as they are not scared off by the visitors. We got to see loads of birds here as well, and i managed to get some photos of those too!
