Monday was suppose to be an easy day! It started out that way. We headed to the center of town and went to a cute little cafe where we had an amazing lunch.
Then we decided to shop. We went up and down streets and came out with a few packages. Things are very expensive here though. If one euro = one dollar it wouldn't be bad but when you are looking at a pair of pants that you would normally pay 60 US Dollars for and you realize they are closer to 120 US Dollars because of the exchange rate then you realize how bad the dollar is right now.
Anyway, after some good girl time shopping, it was already 6PM. So we got on a bus (with a very angry driver) and headed to Sonia's favorite restaurant Via Via. Mom and I had fajitas but they weren't like normal fajitas. The chicken and peppers and onions were in one bowl. The corn and cucumber salsa was in another. And the white rice was separate. And we only had 1/2 of a tortilla. Very strange but very good.
From there, we went to the grounds of the castle where Sonia works. It was gorgeous. If I worked there, I'm not sure I'd get anything done. There were beautiful walking paths along the moat which had ducks and geese. Then we sat on the lawn for a bit and had desert. Then realizing it was almost 9PM and it was still light out, we headed home. I have to say, it is very deceiving in how light out it is so late at night. So that's it for now. Au Revoir.
