Well, we made it! We landed at 10:30 AM local time (7 hour flight) and Sonia met us at the airport. We got back to her place which is so cute. I have to tell you though, I'm not sure how Europeans do it - apartments / studios are so small. No lie, her entire place could fit in my bedroom at home (we're talking the living space, kitchen and bathroom). Sonia has a knack for decorating though so it looks so great. She even has a little patio with flowers and a bistro table. Very European.
From there, we decided to go have a waffle (hey, when in Belgium ). Then we had a tour of the town and Sonia pointed out all of the points of interests, speciality shops, and most importantly, the eccentricities of the town and people. This town is so cute. Cobblestone streets, beautiful buildings, a town market, etc. We then had lunch at a place near the center of town and people watched. After spaghetti and a Leffe beer, we were exhausted so back to Sonia's for a nap. Now, we're getting ready for dinner. So that's it for now. Au Revoir.
