We left Banaue at 8pm and got back to manila by 4.00 and by 8.30 am we were in the sky on our way to Borocay. Once we had found a beach hut for the week we dumped our stuff and headed for the beach, lliterally a stones throw away. I pretty much spent the week working on my tan, but did venture out on one sailing and snorkelling trip, just before sunset. I took some bread in the water and fed the fishes, which was alot of fun hundreds of fish all heading for my fingers, crashing into each other! There were some really beautiful fish, but unfortunately the coral looked as if it had seen better days, at one stage it started raining which is actually a really weird feeling as u feel like you are getting wet, despite the fact you are surrounded by water. After our hour snorkelling we set off back to the shore, it was really beautiful as the sun was setting, the sky was pink and purple, we started to take a slight detour as the boat man saw something in the water, it turned out to be a giant turtle, it looked a little distressed so we signalled for the coast guard to come and save it.
Other activities in Borocay included sampling a few cocktails by the beach watching the sun go down whilst listening to bob Marley and i went for a run along the beach one evening and ended up flashing almost all the bars my bum as i hadnt realized my trousers were coming down. On the saturday we set off at 1.00 with the aim of getting as close to cebu as we could in one day!
