Waking up even earlier today at 7:30 a.m. We had a huge breakfast, leftovers from Olive Garden, before going on a quick tour around UCSD. Dragging our luggage with us, we made several stops at the Warren bear, which I thought was too adorable, Jade's workplace CALIT2, the Geisel library, Dr. Seuss statue, and the School of Medicine before heading to the Solana Beach Station for our 9:20 a.m. train. This was when I found out about my not-so-considerate seating a couple of days ago. My apologies. Darren picked us up from the Union Station when we arrived at 12:15 p.m. I remembered that Darren left his sunglasses with me when we were at Disney so I fished it out of my bag and, gasps, found out that one of the lenses was broken! Darren had a picture with his "pirate" look before I tried to fix it with much difficulty. We had lunch at Curry House and went for a quick shop at Kinokuniya bookstore and Pop Killer, where I got a couple more souvenirs for my dearest siblings. Darren picked up a Sushi bento for me so that I wouldn't starve on my flight back, much appreciated. Jade searched up a purikura machine earlier but we took a while before finding it hidden behind some buildings. Not the ones that you could draw on, but we did get a dark shot with Purin border. After the pictures, Darren intended to bring us to Yogurtland but since there wasn't much time left, we stopped by Pinkberry instead. I had pomegranate with kiwis. It was alright, but my tummy was secretly craving for Yogurtland, shhh.

Thanks to Darren for skipping class just to send me to the airport and for everything else of course! and Jade for being such a good host! I had a blast in both LA and SD. Good talks with the cousin and great adventures with the first friend in Hawaii are memories well worth the chaos that dampened my mood before arriving. Parted our ways and went on on my own for my flight back to the island. Since my flight got delayed for half an hour, I stopped by the souvenir store to pick up a Lakers tee for the dad and just sat around waiting for my flight. I guess I must have accidentally hit the play button cause my thoughts began to wander once again.
