So today we woke up nice and early because we decided to go out to Tsim Sha Tsui to see Nathan road which is renowned for its bright lights and typical chinese streets and shops etc. We found that every couple of meters there were dodgey Indian men asking us if we wanted a tailor made suit or a watch for cheap and men climbing bamboo which they use instead of scaffolding here.
It was quite a sightseeing day mainly and a search for electronic stores which just didnt seem to take a wii while. The have the biggest shopping malls here as well and it seems ridiculously posh too and there were more than i can care to remember floors (according to kenneth) We all decided to take the ferry across to hong kong island to find out about another store over there in kennys guidebook which he takes everywhere with him it seems. Which led us into another ridiculously big shopping mall and to a starbucks for a break where we found out that we had missed some big shop back on Tsim Sha Tsui. This is where i bought my new watch which i am very proud of as it is very funky and cool.
We then decided to head up to Hong Kong's Peak again as the visibility was clear and it was dark so all of the lights were on and it was a awe inspiring view but it was ridiculously packed on the way up as it is the holidays for the hong kongians (hong kongers, hong kongees) they have a very strong tradition of doing stuff at the weekends. Also as you can tell from my photos i am not exactly the best photographer as it doesnt capture the raw beauty of Hong Kong at night.
Still waiting to move into our village house/apartment and waiting on our VISA's so we can start work but all's going good.
Its 1:01 (Hong Kong time = 16:18 your time) soo...
Blog off!!!
