Well...

It's the end of the first day...

To be honest other than sleeping and a bit of a wander about I didn't really get up to much.

This evening I went to dinner with some of my new colleagues. They seem like a sound high of lads. A couple of them have only been out here for a few weeks while John the guy that brought me out here has worked in and around this region for years.

I had the traditional Arabic dish of tagliatelle quatre formaggio!

There were angry words with the waiter at the end of the meal as four of us had been served, eaten and had the plates cleared before John even got his.

After stocking up n water and coffee I am back in my room... After dinner we stopped off and had a coffee where there was yet another inventive spelling of my name!

Work starts at 7:25 tomorrow morning.
