Good morning ladies and gentlemen.
Please return your seats to their uptight position as we begin our decent through Iraqi air space into Kuwait city.
Not words I ever expected to wake up to.
So lets go through the check list...
Free champagne - big fan
My own bed on the plane - big fan
Having people hold up an iPad with your name on it when you arrive so that you don't have to bother filling in a visa or waiting at security - big fan
Having a driver collect me in a big black ford suburban with blacked out windows - big fan
I flew with BA. We were about ten minutes late leaving and that is the only real fault with the flight.
During the trip I introduced myself to my neighbour.
Mr Yousef AlSuwaidan. Great guy! He is studying computer engineering in London and is taking the same flight as me to visit his family for the holidays.
(I am undecided as to weather my boss knew he was sending a fat man to a Muslim country during Ramadan... Fasting from dawn until dusk... Nice thanks for that Rob!)
Yousef told me that I should give him a call if I need anything or would like to be shown around Kuwait. If everyone else here is as friendly as that I think I am going to enjoy this trip.
I am now sat in my hotel suite about to unpack my case. I plan to have a walk along to the perfectly empty beach up to the crystal blue waters and sit down and read my kindle for a bit.
Happy Sunday morning everyone!!!!
