When we finally got to our hostel after being awake for the last three days we slept for the next 18 hours and woke up bright and early on Sunday ready to do a bit of sightseeing. We started off walking through Hyde park down to the city where we saw ducks, people riding horses, and beautiful gardens. We walked through until we reached buckingham palace, where we were very disappointed to see that the guards with the fluffy hats were mannequins! Then we crossed over and explored Westminster abbey where Bonnie played a bit of knock and run with the priests. We walked on down along southbank where we saw the Tate gallery, where we had lunch. We crossed London bridge, where we hoped to go on the London eye, but decided that at twenty pounds each was a bit of a rip off. We then walked up to soho where we had two for one cocktails for the next few hours. We decided to see a few more pubs but were surprised to learn that London was different to Australia, where nearly every second place is a pub, and none had any beer gardens or outdoor seating. We then walked down Oxford st back to our hostel. We visited nearly every place on the monopoly board, it was quite exciting. Bonnie also got yelled at by a cleaning lady who told her to pick up her toilet paper off the floor.

Clare Haha i can't believe Bon got told off by the cleaning lady!! although why was she leaving toilet paper on the floor? lol. Missing you both heaps and really looking forward to seeing you in 4 weeks wooo! I was thinking maybe we should make a trip to Amsterdam together shortly after my semester starts (its a ferry away from my uni ;P). But will see you in Munich first i guess so we can talk bout it then. also can't believe that there guards were fakes!! so dodgy! I guess they got sick of tourists taking photos with them (and they weren't exactly the best protectors off the palace hehe). Anyway glad you had fun and don't worry, London isn't the 'true' England- much more fun bubs with outdoor gardens outside of london :). Have fun!! love lots xoxoxo
coralie great to be able to read your footsteps..... look forward to reading about Italy. miss you : )
