For me this has been the high light of the tour, the visit to the famous bridge over the Rive Kwae. As our hotel sits on the river itself i was able to catch a boat to the location around 30mins down river. The 1st of 3 stops was the JEATH Museum, this is only a tiny place with a few bits gather over the years relating to the building the Death Railway. Even tho it was small it was defiantly moving. The 2nd stop was to a commonwealth War Cemetery, as you can imagine if you have visited a war cemetery it makes experience many feeling.. What hit me the most about this situation isnt the number but the unbelievable amount of suffering they had to endure before they succumbed to illness or lack of food.. Lastly i visited the Bridge itself, again this is something all should visit if you have the chance.
