I was up for ages that night, after being kept awoken by the family I couldn't switch my brain off and just kept thinking about anything and everything, a lot of it
was about missing David and wishing he was there for a kiss and a cuddle. I did eventually pass out maybe around 3/4ish and was awoken by the clambour of people moving about to wash and have breakfast about 7.30am. After
A while, I got up and had a cigarette then lied down again until 10ish when i got hungry.
I sat down with Jenny for a while for some chat, and around 12ish bought a simple rice and a coupe of
Dishes lunch from a train vendor.
We ate and then played a couple of games of yahtzee which I won, while Jenny tried to
Explain the rules to one of the girls from the top bunks. It was nearly 3 and I was tired, so back into my bunk where I slept till about 8pm!
I got up as I had to change my card ticket back for the paper one with the Conductor and sat down. We were of course an hour late getting in making it about 9,45 by the time we got out of the station.
We walked to the hostel following the printed directions which took about 45 minutes, with minimal gettin lost and it was lovely to get there. It was a Jamaica Blue branded coffee shop downstairs with reception (who told us we wouldn't be able to get tickets to Beijing the next day) but we decided we'd try anyway, and no we don't want your terra cotta warriors tour package either!
We went up to our room, a spacious 8 bed mixed dorm and was met by an Israeli guy straight from the shower who gave us hints on how to get to the warriors on our own the next day (bus 306 from the train/bus station = 7yuan) and then said he'd got to go to sleep as he was up at 6am.
Jen and I left to go downstairs and grab some food, and came back up to bed knackered. I again couldn't get off to sleep of course, I only woke up 4 hours ago on the train!
