We arrived into Atlanta about 8:30am and headed to our hotel. It was a beautiful day...a bit cold (it was about 4C) but so very sunny and we lapped it up.We dumped our things and headed to the one place we wanted to see in Atlanta - the World of Coca-Cola. Only stopped in Greensboro for 6 hours. We went for a wander to get some dinner. Had burgers and hot dogs in a little retro diner not too far from the station (it was a bit cold walking around!). We then went back to the station and sat around for about 4 hours waiting for the train to Atlanta!

Just thought we'd say Hello!! We are only in Richmond for 2 hours and they have free wireless at the train station =P Adds an extra place to the list of where we've posted from!

We had one full day in a place called Williamsburg, Virginia. This is one of the first places to have independence from England in 1775, becoming the Commonwealth of Virginia. They have an historic section which is mainly original (and some restored) buildings from 1750 to 1800. All of the buildings have furnished in the time period and there are actors that are dressed and play parts from that time period. We visited lots of tradespeople, such as coopers, blacks...

We wandered towards Capitol Hill and got stuck on the wrong side of Pennsylvania Avenue waiting for the practice inauguration parade to go past. There were armed forces lined in a guard of honour for miles and miles down the avenue and the police weren't letting anyone cross. We saw some armed force marching bands and rifle groups and some cheerleaders (I think)... We eventually managed to find an intersection where no-one was really caring if anyone crossed or n...
