Currently in Merced, California, about 80 miles west of Yosemite. We have to spend the night here as we missed the last bus to Yosemite today. Anyhow, left Las Vegas without a hitch. Well, we have had a busy couple of days. We spent Thursday travelling through the countryside of Nevada and Arizona. We visited Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. We were picked up at 6:20am and out of about 35 people on our tour, there were about 20 Aussies!! We drove over Hoover Dam and stopped for a leg stretch in Kingston. We arrived into Houston late on Tuesday night...we were running over 2 hours late at one stage but managed to arrive only 45 min late into Houston! We love trains! Tara and I also made a friend on the train between New Orleans and Houston. Cameron was 10 years old and from Houston. Our train was 2 hours late leaving Atlanta so we didn't get into New Orleans until after 9:30pm so we decided to have an early night and a big day the next day. We headed out quite early and wandered through the French Quarter and down to the river. We then arranged to do a swamp tour.
