Finally got to sleep in until the sinful hour of 7am. Breakfast was in the garden and consisted of muesli with yoghurt and fruit and then one of the best omelets I have ever eaten. Our last day with our guide as we did a small game drive and then drove to Upington where we flew South African Air to Capetown. We were met at the airport by Sean who drove us into Capetown to Parker's Cottage, the B&B we will stay at until next Saturday. Awake at 5am and in the park by 6am. We drove to the 2nd waterhole and as we arrived, a pride of 7 lions sauntered in to the waterhole area. 3 males and 4 females. We really got a show! 2 of the females had a great wrestling match and several of the lions scratched a tree. Even saw one lion swat a car that had driven too close. The pride had just devoured a kill and were very relaxed. We watched them for about 20 minutes before they disappeared over a nearby hill...

After an early morning breakfast, we entered the park gate at 6am and headed up the main road toward Nossob. We drove about 100 km looking for 2 cheetah that had been reported in that area. Lots of game but no cats. We met a young couple from Pretoria who had just started their holiday in the park. Woke up to a very cold tent but found that the park had installed a continuous hot water system so I was able to have a long hot shower. When we went to the kitchen tent, we found a beautiful jackal sitting outside hopefully waiting for a handout.
