Woke up to a very cold tent but found that the park had installed a continuous hot water system so I was able to have a long hot shower. When we went to the kitchen tent, we found a beautiful jackal sitting outside hopefully waiting for a handout. While eating breakfast, we saw a spotted hyena having a drink of water at the waterhole.Today was a good day again for viewing animals and birds. We were lucky enough to encounter a family of meerkats right alongside the road so I was able to get some really good pictures. We saw an African wildcat and its kitten but wasn't able to get a very good picture. We moved today to Mata Mata camp which is further north. The chalet we have is quite amazing and is brand new. Talk about being spoiled! The park finally sent out a grader to grade the washboard roads. It has made quite a difference! Our guide served us a true South African braai (barbecue). I cannot believe how much meat they eat. Dinner tonite consisted off chicken, steak, and South African sausage. Well, I am very tired after 12 hours of game drives and we have to be up by 5am so I will close. Hopefully I will be able to publish soon as we have been out of cellular range for a few days.
