Having all sorts of problems uploading pics here. I can't upload using my iPad and I was able to
do it on my phone - one at a time - but now my pics won't sync from my iPad to iPhone. Any ideas anyone? It did randomly let me post one photo!
Anyhoo, this morning I took a taxi back to Park Guell where I went the other day as I wanted to see the Gaudi mosaics etc. The metro doesn't go near there and I wasn't walking there again! So I was there by 9 which meant I avoided the big crowds. Well worth it to be able to see the place without a bazillion people there. I then took another taxi back but decided to go to Poble Espanyol which is like a Spanish village with little shops and restaurants. I had a taxi driver from Pakistan who asked where I was from and when I said Australia his face lit up and he said ' you know cricket!' - he must have been disappointed that I didn't know much about it at all!!
I spent a lovely couple of hours wandering around and then thought I'd head back to my place to rest my legs for a bit. I think I should have done this from the start since a lot of the shops shut at about 2 or something and reopen around 5 - seems to depend on the shop. I ventured out again later for dinner and wandered through a shopping centre and then just ambled up
and down a few streets just to get my final fix of Barcelona. I feel like I'm really just starting to get my bearings and tomorrow I'll be leaving! There is so much to see and do that I've barely scratched the surface, but I have managed to see most of the things on my list. Better get to bed as I have an early start to get the train to Paris.
