It has snowed several times since I've been here...light, fluffy flakes that land gently on my coat and hair. Last night was slightly chillier and the snow actually settled on the ground.
I checked out a night service at the Church 'All Souls' on Sunday night. It's an amazingly, beautiful piece of architecture which was brightly lit in the dark of evening. I met some prettty cool people. I am going to Farnham Castle this weekend with a few of them. Can't wait.
I'm still on the job hunt. I had an interview in Welwyn Garden City but they don't require my services until June! Never mind...it was nice to get out of the bustle of London and have a breath of fresh air. Welwyn has a more laid back and relaxed feel to it. It's also very cute.
Yesturday I spent the afternoon being a tourist! I went to Covent Garden, enjoyed a quiet glass of wine sitting in front of an open fire and planned my afternoon of sight seeing. Unfortunately darkness progressed quickly and my time was limited. I did, however, managed to see Cleopatra's Needle, the London Eye, Trafalgar Square and The London Coliseum. Really impressive and intriguing architecture and history. Tomorrow I hope to check out Picadilly Circus.
I'm getting used to all the different tube lines and which ones to catch to where. It's actually quite fun once you get the hang of it...picking the different colours in relation to where you're going and linking them up to other lines. No worries!
I've seen a resident fox three times now. The first siting was walking home from All Souls. He was coming out of a driveway and i initially thought that he was a large cat. He turned toward me and skittered away...very cool. Only to me though...aparantly they are a pain and the locals think they are dirty, annoying creatures. My second siting was actually at the end of the drive on another night. He saw me and scampered into the back yard. This morning I was peering out an upstairs window and spottedhim sniffing around in the yard. I think they are adorable. Ask me again in several months...the novelty may have worn off!
