After a quick freshen up at the hotel we went out for breakfast. We then headed to the Gateway of India, so so so many Indians wanted pictures with us we spent twenty minutes doing that - everytime we turned around from one, another one was waiting behind us. At one point there was a queue. It was mental! Famous people must get exhausted! Once we got away from the paparazzi we went to the house Mahatma Gandhi lived in when he stayed in Mumbai which is now a museum and some what of a shrine. Very interesting.
After we went to see the famous laundry service - the place looked like slums with hundreds of people washing clothes and hanging them to dry, we were told the people get alot of business from hotels etc and they are not the poorest in Mumbai so the actual slums must be awful! As this sight was shocking enough.
Me and Jess went for a stroll after to grab some dinner. I was expecting Mumbai to be the maddest city but it actually wasn't and although we still got the odd stare on the street, it seemed quite mild in comparison to other places we have been - maybe they see more foreigners there.
We were told by our tour guide that if you get asked if you would like to star in a Bollywood movie outside McDonalds it's basically a scam and they take you to a house where you have to sleep with various men to get a tiny extra part - charming!
