Yesterday we hopped in the train to Beaune, France. Scott woke up about two hours before the alarm and was ready to go. I think it is similar to a childs first Christmas. We arrived early in the afternoon to Beaune. Our hotel is very cute and the city is amazingly quaint. A million miles from Las Vegas. We joined the group for a wine tasting down the road from the hotel. It was great and once again Scott was a child in a candy shop. The tasting was really neat, the cellar was in the basement of a church. Only in France. There were about 30 wines to taste in all, at the end while we were waiting for the group, Scott ended up joining a couples private tasting with the sommelier.
Last night we once again joined the tour group for dinner. We are a group of 15 and a guide. The guide is very sweet and about my age. The rest of the group is diverse but I would say almost all are in their 20-30s. They are Americans, Canadians and Australians. We had an amazing dinner of four courses, escargot, pigeon, cheese and crepes. The dinner lasted about three hours but we had a nice time of getting to know the rest of the group.
