Midsummers eve! Last weekend we met up with our conact here in Shanghai, Jonas. We started off by having dinner with him and he gave us his view of Shanghai as a swede that has lived here for over a year. He also introduced us to his taylor so we ended up ordering two sutes and five shirts each...
This week we started out by going to the Shanghai library, the worlds tallest library (?!) Here we found that they have a lot of english litterature so now we know where to go for information.
On tuesday we hade our first interview with two PhD. students at Eastern China Normal University. They hade a lot of usefull info about the history of green roofs in Shanghai and they have also agreed to supply us with their scientific article on green roofs that they have published.
And today it is midsummers eve so Jonas has invited us to a traditional swedish party with sill and nubbe. So from china we wish you all a great day today and we hope that you have better weather than we do, it is raining constantly. It is a constant drizzle that hits strait on and not from above and leavs you soaked to the bone after a few minutes. Well well have a great day!

Barney Stinson "The worlds tallest library" is for books what the Playboy Mansion is for Bunnies. Finding what you're looking for might be hard, but you can always grab something easy... I hope that, despite the rain, you guys rocked your socks off at the traditional Swedish party! If not there will be some major well-suited bar-hopping once you guys get back :) Keep posting and good luck with the project!
Bimakodra you can't know what aitehntuc Chinese is if you only spent your time in a few cities. That's like saying I know what aitehntuc BBQ is after spending time in NY or Chicago.
